Experience Salzburg by E-Bike From Staatsbrücke to Hellbrunn!
Start your guided E-Bike adventure by picking up your bikes at Staatsbrücke, a picturesque bridge that spans the Salzach River. Your friendly guide will greet you here and provide you with a brief overview of the route ahead. From here, you’ll pedal across to Müllner Steg, a charming bridge that connects the heart of Salzburg with the scenic Mülln district, while your guide shares interesting facts about the city’s history and landmarks.
The next stop is Rosenhügel, where you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the city and the surrounding landscape. As you ride, your guide will point out notable features and stories that highlight Salzburg’s rich heritage. You’ll then make your way to the famous Do-Re-Mi Steps, immortalized in The Sound of Music. Your guide will share behind-the-scenes trivia from the film, adding a fun touch to the experience.
Continuing along the Salzach River, you’ll head towards Mozartsteg, named after Salzburg’s most famous son, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At this point, prepare to walk your bikes for a short stretch as you reach Mozartplatz. Explore the grandeur of the Dombögen and Domplatz before making your way to Petersfriedhof, a tranquil and historic cemetery with stunning baroque architecture.
From there, you’ll ride up to Nonnberg Abbey, a place steeped in history, offering panoramic views of the city. Your guide will explain the significance of this site and its connection to the story of The Sound of Music, since this is the abbey where the real Maria von Trapp used to be a novice. As you journey through the peaceful Nonntal and the impressive Hellbrunner Allee, your guide will lead the way to Frohnburg, which you’ll pass by, as it is privately owned.
Next, you’ll arrive at Hellbrunn, where your guide will take you through the beautiful grounds and past the famous gazebo, another iconic Sound of Music location. After exploring the gardens, you’ll take a detour to the Hellbrunn Trick Fountains, one of the most unique attractions in Salzburg. These playful fountains, created in the early 17th century, feature surprising water tricks, hidden sprays, and interactive water features that will leave you amazed.
As you make your way back, your guide will point out Leopoldskron Palace and the nearby Festspielhäuser, venues famous for hosting the prestigious Salzburg Festival.
Finally, you’ll return to Staatsbrücke, where you’ll drop off your bikes and conclude your guided tour, reflecting on a memorable day of exploring Salzburg’s history, natural beauty, and musical legacy.
