Begin your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation within the Salzburg city area. - Leopoldskron Palace & Gazebo at Hellbrunn:
Start your journey with two of Salzburg’s most iconic Sound of Music locations. Admire Leopoldskron Palace from across the lake, known as the exterior of the von Trapp family home, before visiting the charming gazebo at Hellbrunn Palace, featured in the famous “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” scene. - Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus):
Travel into the Bavarian Alps to visit the legendary Eagle’s Nest, one of the region’s most famous landmarks. Accessible via the historic mountain road, special bus service, and brass elevator (seasonal operation), this remarkable mountaintop destination offers breathtaking panoramic views across the Alps. Enjoy time to explore the historic site, capture stunning photographs, and take in the spectacular scenery. - Documentation Center Obersalzberg:
Continue to the nearby Documentation Center Obersalzberg, where modern exhibitions and multimedia displays provide valuable insight into the history of the area and its significance during the Third Reich. Visit the picturesque lakeside town of Mondsee, home to the Basilica of St. Michael, famous as the wedding church from The Sound of Music. Enjoy free time to explore the historic center, visit the church, or stroll through the charming town square. - Return to Salzburg:

- What to bring
- Sturdy shoes and clothes that are fitting for the Salt Mines – it is about 8°C down there (46°F)
- Restrictions
- The Eagle’s Nest is a seasonal attraction and is typically open from May to October. Access may be restricted or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
- In the event of unfavorable weather or seasonal closure, additional time will be spent at the Documentation Center Obersalzberg and other scenic locations in the Berchtesgaden region.
- Please note that visiting the Eagle’s Nest involves walking on uneven surfaces, mountain pathways, and some inclines. Comfortable footwear is recommended.
- Guests with limited mobility are welcome; however, some outdoor areas at the Eagle’s Nest may be challenging due to gradients and historic pathways.
- Foldable wheelchairs can be accommodated in our vehicles. Please inform us in advance if you are traveling with a wheelchair so we can make the necessary arrangements.
- The Documentation Center Obersalzberg is largely wheelchair accessible. The Eagle’s Nest can be reached by accessible shuttle bus and elevator, although accessibility may vary in certain outdoor viewing areas and depending on weather conditions.
- Children of all ages are welcome on this tour. Please advise us in advance if child seats are required.
- Disclaimers
- The original Von Trapp villa cannot be visited as it is privately owned by the church.
- Schloss Leopoldskron can only be viewed from across the Leopoldskroner Weiher (pond) as it operates as a private hotel.
- Private option can only be booked for a maximum of 8 persons – if you are more, please contact us directly!
- Identification Requirement:
- For safety and compliance reasons, all guests are kindly requested to carry a valid passport or official photo identification at all times during the activity. In the event of an inspection by local authorities, you may be required to present your ID. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Check-in details

If you cancel your tour more than 48 hours before the start of the tour, no fees will be charged. However, please note that in such cases we will retain an administration fee of 10% of the booking price to cover the costs of payment transactions, bank fees and similar expenses.
If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the start of the tour, 50% of the total amount will be charged as a cancellation fee, in addition to the 10% administration fee.
Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged 100% of the total amount as a cancellation fee.by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
