Explore Vienna Through Mozart’s Life and Music
This 2.5-hour walking tour explores Vienna’s rich musical heritage with a special focus on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Beginning at the Vienna State Opera, you stroll through the historic city centre, passing the Mozart Monument and St. Peter’s Church before reaching the old town. The tour then concludes at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Afterwards, the one-hour main visit takes place and must be chosen in advance: either a guided visit to Mozarthaus Vienna, Mozart’s preserved historic residence and traditional museum, or to Mythos Mozart, a modern and immersive multimedia experience dedicated to Mozart’s life and music.

Itinerary
1. Vienna State Opera – Tour introduction and overview of Vienna as a city of music

Highlights
This 2.5-hour walking tour introduces you to Vienna’s rich musical heritage, with a special focus on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The tour includes a one-hour main visit, for which guests must choose in advance between two options: the historic Mozarthaus Vienna or the immersive multimedia experience Mythos Mozart.
The tour begins at the Vienna State Opera, a symbol of Vienna’s long musical tradition. From there, you walk through the historic city center, passing the Mozart Monument and continuing through elegant old-town streets. The route also leads past St. Peter’s Church, a fine example of Viennese Baroque architecture.
The walking tour then continues to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna’s iconic landmark and a highlight of the historic center. Afterwards, depending on your preselected option, you will spend about one hour either exploring Mozart’s only preserved Viennese apartment at Mozarthaus Vienna or experiencing his life and music through modern audiovisual installations at Mythos Mozart.

If you cancel your tour more than 48 hours before the start of the tour, no fees will be charged. However, please note that in such cases we will retain an administration fee of 10% of the booking price to cover the costs of payment transactions, bank fees and similar expenses.
If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the start of the tour, 50% of the total amount will be charged as a cancellation fee, in addition to the 10% administration fee.
Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged 100% of the total amount as a cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged the full price.
