F.A.Q. - Bob's Special Tours

What languages do you offer tours in?

All our tours are in English. Always.

Will you tour on February 22nd?

We tour 365 days a year. Some of our tours are available only seasonal, though. To be sure, check the details page of the tour in question.

What time do the tours start?

Our half day tours start at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm daily. Whole day trips always start at 9:00 am. To be sure, check the details page of the tour in question.

How long do your tours take?

Our half day tours take approximately four hours, day trips about eight hours. To be sure, check the details page of the tour in question.

What does the tour price include?

The tour price includes your seat in the van and your tour guide; entrance fees and personal expenses are not included. To be sure, check the details page of the tour in question.

What kind of vehicles do you use for your tours?

We generally tour with nine seater vans; if you travel with bigger groups or need a tour guide for your own bus just let us know!

Will I be picked up for my tour?

For our morning tour your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Salzburg or at our office between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., depending on what you filled in the booking form. For the afternoon tour we ask you to arrive at our office at Rudolfskai 38 between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. unless arranged differently in advance. A pick up from your hotel for the afternoon tour is only possible in exceptional cases as our tour guides only have half an hour between a morning and an afternoon tour and should be able to use this time to rest.

Where will I be dropped off at the end of the tour?

Drop-off for our tours is generally at our office. For our Sound of Music Tours drop-off is at Mirabell Garden in the city centre, but of course you can choose drop-off at our office as well.

Why does Bob's Tours need my Credit card details?

Your credit card details are required to reserve your seats. We will not charge your credit card unless you don't show or cancel within 24 hours of the tour date. Payment is received by cash on the van or by credit card in our office prior to your tour.

What happens if I have to cancel my tour?

A cancellation of your tour is possible without any payment up to 48 hours prior to the start. In case of a cancellation between 48 and 24 hours prior to start we will charge 50% of the tour price. On the day of the tour your tickets cannot be refunded unless we can rebook the seats.

May Bob's Tours cancel my tour?

We reserve the right to cancel tours or impart your booking to co-operation partners in case of insufficient reservations. If this rare situation should occur we will get in touch with you immediately.

How far in advance should I book my tour?

Please book your tour as far in advance as possible, especially if you want to tour between April and September or in December! Bob's Special Tours is a small family business and only has a limited amount of seats available.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes, of course you can! Just let us know which places you would like to visit, we'll fix the route and organise the details. Please make sure to contact us well in advance as the preparation of your tour might take some time!!!
